Duration:
116 Minutes
The
movie starts as a monologue of Rakesh Maria depositing the entire sequence of
26/11 Mumbai attacks right from its inception to end before an enquiry committee.
I do not intend to stress up on the story line much as there is no need to reiterate
the ghastly act, which is very well evident to all.
Credits
to Ram Gopal Varma for the way he has dealt the movie. He has showed the entire
movie from 26/11 survivor’s point of who were present at Leopold CafĂ©, Cama
Hospital and Taj. A situation where in a society is subjected to various
emotions of fear, anger, frustration, helplessness & courage at the same time
is portrayed spectacularly by RGV. The only negative comment I can make is
about the amount of gore in the movie which is very disturbing.
Coming
to the main characters, Nana Patekar who played the role of Rakesh Maria Joint
Commissioner of Police (Mumbai) is simply outstanding. Nana Patekar Commissioner
of Police (Mumbai), acts as a man caught between the emotions of fear, anger,
frustration, helplessness & courage is truly phenomenal. Check the last 30
minute sequence of the movie and you will know what I am talking about. Sanjeev Jaiswal as Kasab was equally brilliant.
Intense
dialogues, powerful performances and some astounding background score just adds
up to the movie.
The
last scene before the Interval (In railway station) & the scene at Morgue portrays
the brilliance of RGV.
Watch
this movie
for sure as you get to see it from the eyes of those brave people who survived,
who acted and who won against this ghastly act.
