After the successful Jannat in 2008, Kunal Deshmukh
brings his Jannat-2 admist huge expectations, but unfortunately the film does
not match up to it.
Jannat-2 mainly revolves around the life of small
arms dealer Sonu Dilli KKC- Kutti Kameeni Cheez played by Emraan Hashmi. His life
takes a complete u turn as he falls in love with Jhanvi Tomar played by the
debutant Esha Gupta.
Randeep Hooda as Pratap Raghuvanshi, plays the role
of tough &; retard cop who is on a mission to eliminate arms mafia with the
help of Sonu Dilli. The main plot of the movie is the moral dilemma that the
lead character dwindles i.e choosing between his search for heaven and
morality. Kunal Dehsmukh’s directorial brilliance should be acknowledged
especially the way he has treated the last 30 minutes of the movie not to
forget the ending though.
Coming to individual performances Emraan without any
difficulty slips in the character of Sonu - KKC doing what he does best.
Speaking of the new debutant Esha Gupta, even though her role do not provide
her much scope, she proves that she has certainly got talent which comes in
bits & pieces on screen. If one performance that audience can carry home
with them, it would be that of Randeep hooda who mesmerizes the audience with
his rugged and intense performance. Other actors like Manish Choudhary, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub,
Brijendra kala delivered good performances.
Like all Vishesh films this flick too has some
extra-ordinary music which indeed adds on to the movie. Censor Board of India
certified the movie as A and Kunal Deshmukh has made the most of it with some
cheesy dialogues.
Overall Jannat –2 may not be as good as Jannat but
definitely worth giving a try. Trust me …!

Rating: 2.5/5
